Soumyo Suvra Sengupta has been through the murky world of addiction and alcoholism for a period of time. Belonging to an affluent family residing in South Kolkata with roots spreading to Dibrugarh and Tinsukia in Upper Assam, Soumyo is the youngest of the two siblings.  A junior state level cricketer and a vocalist who could made big in any of these two fields, Soumyo's life took a u-turn.

Early during high school, Soumyo took to drugs and alcohol with his peers and since then life started to take that ugly un-wanted turn. Soumyo struggled through his growing years with drugs and alcohol. His parents tried all possible ways to help him, of course they could not see their own son being a victim of this deadly disease. 

Soumyo tried for many years under different Psychiatrists, Clinical Centers and all possible ways. But the path and the eventual way out was not easy.

It has been almost a decade, since Soumyo started living a life without drugs and alcohol. Life gave him a second chance and he took it with both his hands. He decided to dedicate his life to all who suffer from alcoholism, addiction and mental disorders directly inflicted by substance abuse. 

Care Home came into being about a year back.
