Treatment Procedure for Disease of Addiction/Alcoholism.
Our module of Treatment & Therapy for Drug Addicts & Alcoholics are scientifically proven processes and are broadly categorized into 3 phases.
Detoxification
Most drugs and alcohol addiction require a detoxification program before the start of rehabilitation process. The process of detoxification removes all traces drugs and alcohol from the body. In some cases, maintenance medication program has to be followed to counter withdrawal symptoms associated with certain drug types like Opiates, Prescription drugs and heroine. When a person consumes alcohol regularly, the body becomes accustomed to having certain levels of substance in it. Once the substance is removed, the body can go into a shock, causing severe withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms include, but are not limited to: Extreme Depression, Cognitive & Concentration issues, Decreased Appetite, Severe Fatigue, Agitation, Running Nose, Inability to Sleep, Severe Sweating, Nausea, Cramps, Diarrhea, Trembling or Shaking, Rapid Heart Rate, Troubled Breathing, Headaches, Muscle Tension & Pain, Seizure, Stroke, Hallucinations & Heart Attacks.
Rehabilitation
Once an individual gets through the detoxification from Drugs & Alcohol usage, they will move on the Rehabilitation Program of the Recovery process. This is where the core reasons of addictions are addressed and patients are provided with self-help therapy modules, where they learn to effectively move ahead in life without the use of Drugs, Alcohol or their Addictive Behaviour traits. . This type of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy also addresses thoughts that patients have in relation to way of life using drugs and alcohol. The module also includes Group Therapy which is a peer process where individuals interact with each other. This is an extremely beneficial method. This self-help community support is the most integral part of the Recovery Process. We also offer Family Therapy Program as a part of the Rehabilitation Process, wherein family members do come in for counselling and awareness. Family Therapy helps resolve many issues than simply binds the addict/alcoholic back into the strong bonding of the family, before leaving the Treatment Facility.
After Care
We strongly suggest that after leaving the treatment facility, a patient must attend our follow up program for a certain period of time. In the follow up program, the patient would have to visit the treatment facility at intervals and attend Group Therapy Programs & One on one Counseling sessions. This offers a supportive transitional time for recovering addict or alcoholic to get back into the society where he belongs.
